St. Kitts grant citizenship to help fight the aftermath of hurricanes
The authorities of the island of Saint Kitts and Nevis decided to use the citizenship program that existed for many years in exchange for a contribution to the Fund for Assistance to Victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
The damage caused by the two hurricanes that struck the islands one by one is still being counted. Until it is viewed as excessive, and the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis mention in his statement noted that the islanders highly appreciate the fact that the state has experienced “three hurricanes in a row” with minimal losses.
From now until March 2018, “Citizenship by Investment” has been added, according to which the citizenship of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis (57 out of 159 places in the world citizenship rating of Henley & Partners), to donate $ 150 thousand to the Fund for Assistance to Victims of Natural Disasters. Until now, the passport of the federation could be obtained only through investment in real estate from $ 450 thousand and a charitable contribution to the Fund for the diversification of the sugar industry ($ 250 thousand).
