REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT APPLICATION PROCESS
Choose an Authorised Agent. Applications for citizenship cannot be submitted directly to the Citizenship by Investment Unit and must only be handled by an Authorised Agent.
If you are purchasing property, this will need to be reserved through a sales and purchase agreement at this point.
Your Agent will be able to advise you on the preparation of the documents and how to have them legalised.
An interview may be required at the discretion of the government.
Your application will be vetted through a thorough due diligence back ground check which will verify the information that you have provided. The CBIU will consider the file in the light of the due diligence report, and will take a decision about your application. You will receive a letter through your agent which will inform you whether your application has been successful, has been delayed for further processing or has been rejected.
If your application is successful, the CBIU will issue a letter instructing you to complete the payment of the real estate property. Upon receiving proof of the payment, the CBIU will issue the certificate of registration which will be able to be used by your agent to apply for a Dominican passport.
DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Funds are placed in an escrow account during the process. This will be returned if the application is not accepted for any reason.
The cost of measures to apply to this program is fixed and does not have a refundable nature in case of rejection of the application.
Applications must be accredited by a local promotion agency programs. These agencies work under license from the State of Dominica. Professional and legal fees are paid separately promoters.

The promotion agencies Citizenship by Investment program of Dominica deal with all governmental, registration, seal, and expenses incurred as messaging application. On behalf of the Government of Dominica, private investigation agencies conducted a comprehensive review of the criminal records of applicants over 18 years, do so by complying with international standards to fight anti money laundering and combating terrorism and drug trafficking.
Agencies that perform this “due diligence” charges a separate fee, usually between US $. 3,000 and $ 10,000 depending on the case. This amount is not refundable in case of rejection of the application.
Once the detective agency reported positively about the applicant, the case is submitted to the Government of Dominica and resolves regarding the personal interview, from which must run within 30 days for paperwork completed. Once completed, the Ministry of Legal Affairs will sign the Certificate of Naturalization document that legitimizes the new citizenship of the Commonwealth of Dominica and grants the passport.
The entire process until final resolution may take 3 to 5 months, however the time will depend on the procedures of “due diligence” that may require more or less work. The granting of citizenship is subject to the sole discretion of the government. There is no doubt that the applicant is approved guarantee.
Most negative citizenship application due to that during the due diligence process, it is revealed that the applicant has provided false information or found any criminal record of the applicant.
